Summer Camp Teacher

Position Summary:

As a Summer Camp Teacher, you will help instruct children in activities according to approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. In addition, you will promote and participate in all center functions, travel on field trips, introduce guest speakers, communicate with, and develop positive relationships with all family members. This is a 10 week position, but can be a full time, or after school position if interested after the camp ends.

Duties:

• Organize pick up, roll call (name to face) and attendance check from bus pickups.

• Organize and follow a structured “sign out” from class roster as well as parents signing out at
front desk, especially if children are often picked up from the playground.
• Interact with the children throughout the afternoon.
• Busy students stay active and engaged.
• Follow all state and local rules and regulations for student teacher ratios, safety, and hygiene.
• Maintain constant supervision.
• Dismiss each day

Drive/Travel on field trips with students
Follow summer camp lesson plans
Work with teacher assistant

Promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.

Help Implement summer camp weekly curricula which address all learning goals
Adherence to all State and Discovery Point policies and regulations
Communicate in a friendly, professional manner with parents, staff, and management
Maintain a welcoming, upbeat, positive atmosphere in classroom
Maintain safety and cleanliness of the classroom at all times
Travel on Field trips with students

Qualifications:

Must be able to meet state background check requirements
Must Have DCF 45 Hours
Must be 21
Must have Valid Florida Drivers License

Compensation: $8 -15/hour
